beautiful day in the neighborhoodThe home standing Catnips came crashing out of the gate and pounded cat for 6 runs in the first inning to jump out to a quick 5-1 lead on an absolutely beautiful day at Pioneer field. This is the first game of the Fall and we hope this is a good omen for the weather, which has sucked all year.

Maddog

Can anybody get this man out???... I know I can't. He goes 4-5 every week, and has been for 5 years. He is the most disruptive offensive force in the history of TNB. He hustles on every play, always smiles, and never, ever, takes an inning, play, or at-bat off. He is Tyrus Cobb, with Sam Crawford's attitude.

Showtime

Trailing 6-5 in the 6th, the Hollidays started pouring it on with a 6 run 6th, getting ribbis from benjX, nails, and Supe.
The game was hanging in the balance as the action headed into the 9th, with the Hollidays up 12-11. Maddog and Buck were both a little shaky closing the game, but a Buck leadoff double in the top of the 9th and a BenjiX walk, preceeded a Mikey Mayhem 2-RBI single, to give Buck and the Hollidays some breathing room to grind out the bottom of the 9th. Buck wabbled thru the 9th, retiring Nighter on a long fly to left for the final out.
