Look, we needed rain, but tonight the rain was a bummer. Ballus-interruptus. I hate that! June 21st, the longest day of the year, we would'a played 9, the game was just getting interesting, then a big dark blue baloon formed to the west, and we knew it was curtains. It was a beauty too. The lineups were last minute, due to last minute no-shows (cause of the local weather forecasts )
But TNB wasted NO time getting on the board with 3 straight hits off Buck (Billy, Chip and Dave T), and would not look back all night.

Game 2
TNB AS 25, Pioneers VBBC 13

No excuses this time. The Pioneers failed to hold a 7-0 lead and fell to the TNB upstarts AGAIN at Herlihy in the 21st century vs the 19th century match.
Matches, MikeO, Squeaky Tyme, Maddog, on and on. The final blow was self inflicted however.
With 2 outs and no runs in, Matches lifter a high pop to Buck at first. Buck took 2 steps backward and fell over as if in a trance! Bullet yelled, "You can still catch it Buck!"
Buck was unresponsive as the ball fell between his feet.
The Game TNB AS team jumped on that error like Paranhas on a bleeding swimmer and scores 8 more runs.

When Buck came to, he confessed he had spent the afternoon with Doc Holliday.

Funniest moment last night:  Nightman gets up to bat, he doesn't say high or low zone so Pesci says:
"High zone."  
Bullet throws first quick pitch, Pesci calls it .... ball.   Nightman says something like,
"Hey, I want a low zone,"  Pesci says,
"You didn't say anything so I gave you a high zone."  
Nightman:
"I want a low zone."
 Pesci:
"OK, then that last pitch was a strike, so instead its now strike 1."
